The Twisted Metal franchise has been around ever since the release of the PlayStation 1, delivering a variety of stellar and not-so-stellar experiences to fans of the gaming consoles made by Sony ever since.Īfter a period of inactivity, the franchise is going back to its roots with Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3, which returns to the darker and grittier roots of the combat racing title, with really freakish characters and all sorts of outlandish vehicles that can be driven by them. David Jaffe, the co-founder and creative director of Eat, Sleep, Play, the studio that’s currently developing Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3, has confirmed that the first production run of the upcoming destruction racing title will include a very special voucher for a digital download of Twisted Metal Black, the popular iteration of the series that appeared for the PlayStation 2 back in 2001.
